Take from the billionaire
I participate in the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
What does that mean?
That means that if I share a link to a product on Amazon, I can include my special tag and that tag will tell Amazon the person who clicked on the link was sent by me. If that person buys something after clicking my special tagged link, Amazon will give me a small percentage of the profit.
For example, let’s say I link to these hilarious sheep toilet paper rolls: https://amzn.to/4l7EwOc
If you click that link, you’ll see that you can get three sheep for $16.66.
If you were to type in Amazon.com and search for the sheep on your own and buy them, Amazon pays the seller their share, and then they keep what’s left.
If, however, you click on my link above, Amazon gives the seller their profit, then they have to hand over some of what would have been their profit to me for referring you.
You pay the same amount, regardless of whether you use my link. The seller gets the same profit regardless of whether you use my link. But Amazon gets less if you use my link. They get less, because they had to fork over some of that profit to me.
Basically, using Amazon affiliate links makes you Robin Hood.
Every once in a while, I’ll add something to this page that I’ve bought myself, or someone I know has bought, that we’ve loved. Every link on this page will be an Amazon affiliate link.
So go shopping. And take a few coins out of the big man’s purse…
